The HUV (High Ultra Violet) technology appeared in the world of printing from 2012\/2013. The HUV <\/span>offset concept is above all a device of instantaneous drying<\/span> of inks after printing: its use thus makes it possible to partly solve the problem of drying of specific inks. HUV printing can be described as digital offset<\/span>: it combines the low cost <\/span>of offset presses <\/span>with the same level of detail as digital, while retaining the charm <\/span>of traditional printing techniques.<\/p>\n

HUV printing is a technology particularly appreciated by offset printers <\/span>as it is particularly useful in mass production<\/span>. Its goal is to optimize the productivity <\/span>of printers. In fact, unlike UV printing, it allows instant drying of sheets <\/span>and thus contributes to a real increase <\/span>in productivity by reducing <\/span>the production cycle. The sheets that come out of the press are directly ready<\/span> for finishing!<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, its advantages are multiple: more vibrant colors<\/span> thanks to an unmatched print density, shorter production times and fewer smudging problems<\/span> thanks to its instant drying, a greater choice of printing media such as kraft, tracing paper, high-weight creative papers, plastic, etc… which was unthinkable <\/span>for traditional printers.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the printing world, being “eco-responsible<\/span>” is not only about using PEFC, FSC or recycled paper, but also being responsible for the use of electricity, inks and waste recycling.<\/p>\n

The use of HUV printing allows for energy<\/span>, resource <\/span>and CO2 emissions<\/span> reduction<\/span>. In fact, we observe a decrease of ozone vapor and CO2 emissions of nearly 25% <\/span>compared to standard presses. Its lamps, on the other hand, are less costly and less energy-intensive. Finally, as there is no longer any protective varnish, the medium is no longer denatured<\/span>. As this process allows for the abandonment of powder<\/span> for drying and smudging, there is a real improvement in working conditions<\/span>: less smell in the workshops and a generally healthier air quality.<\/p>\n
